Even small outdoor spaces, when thoughtfully
designed, can result in spectacular areas like this outdoor living area
designed and created by Green Acres Landscaping.
"BEFORE" view from back |
BEFORE: A severe drainage problem at the back of the house (a retaining wall was draining too much and undermining the rear deck). A steep hillside with the inability to mow or plant it properly. |
AFTER: A masonry and gravel drainage system which corrected the problem. |
The cobblestone pavers fit tightly and look great, but do allow all water to percolate under ground and out of the area to drains placed in the front hill. |

The paver path continues around the entire front of the house, where it was in a shallower, but well-prepared hole which had gravel and basecoarse in it. |

8 large oak trees were removed from the front hill (steep, appx. 40 deg. angle) which opened up areas to plant and also gave the large front porch the benefit of a lot more sun and sky. |
